Ways to select an area within an object

In Microsoft PhotoDraw, you can cut out an area in an object to select it. When you create a cutout, you actually create a copy of the area you are selecting. The cutout can then be inserted into another picture or saved in a separate file. If you're selecting the area in order to apply an effect to it, you do not need to move the cutout from its position within the object.

PhotoDraw offers the following options for selecting areas in an object:

Select by tracing an area with the Edge Finder   You can use the Edge Finder to select the edges around the area you want. This method works best with areas of high contrast. Cut out an area with the Edge Finder

Select by manually tracing around an area   You can click or drag around an area on your own. Cut out an area by drawing
